The U.S. Embassy Tbilisi Public Diplomacy Section announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications and carry out programs to support vulnerable communities, protection of human rights and promotion of tolerance; enhance ethnic/religious minority and gender equality and women empowerment.

Program Objectives
  • However, the priority program objectives for 2024 are:
  • Protection of human rights and promotion of tolerance.
  • Protection and legal support/services of victims of domestic violence, ethnic/religious minorities, or other excluded and marginalized groups.
  • Ensuring the full exercise of civic, electoral and human rights of vulnerable communities.
  • Advancing gender equity and civic inclusion of ethnic/religious minorities.
  • All projects should explain how the proposed activities impact Georgia’s democratic development and describe specific objectives and expected outcomes. Collaborative projects between partnering NGOs are encouraged.
Funding Information
  • Total available funding: $175,000
  • Award amounts: Initial awards may range from a minimum of $25,000 to a maximum of $50,000.
  • Length of performance period: 18 months or less
  • Number of awards anticipated: five awards (dependent on amounts)
  • Anticipated program start date: September 1, 2024

  • Please be specific when mentioning the target audience(s) of your proposed project, including demographic information and the approximate number of beneficiaries to be directly and indirectly impacted by project activities.
Eligibility Criteria
  • The following organizations are eligible to apply:
  • Not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/non-governmental organizations.
  • Public International Organizations and Governmental institutions
  • For-profit or commercial entities are not eligible to apply.
