The Associate will primarily focus on supporting the Human Resources team in provision of payroll services as well as engagement of consultants, secondments, and interns. The postholder will also ensure accurate and consistent maintenance of HR e-records and support reporting needs of the team. The Associate will work with and advise to operation focal  points and managers in 30+ GGGI locations (Latin America, Caribbean, Africa, Asia, Middle East, and Pacific) and will ensure consistent application of GGGI rules and practices. The incumbent should have relevant HR experience in managing payroll and contracts of deliverable and daily rate consultants; as well as experience working in a multi-cultural environment. 

Purpose:

  • Manage GGGI payroll, including reporting on 4 major insurances, and related reconciliations as necessary.
  • Manage engagement of individual consultants, secondments, and interns globally.
  • Maintain accurate HR data and support reporting needs and analytics for HR operations.

Engagement:

  • Advise operation focal points and managers on the rules, best practices, and standards of engagement of individual consultants, secondments, and interns in line with GGGI’s policies.
  • Advise GGGI staff on benefits, claims, including annual tax return and 4 major insurances as needed.  
  • Work with the HR team members to ensure HR data is accurate and up to date in support of HR reporting and analytics.   
  • Work with the IT team to ensure efficient implementation and consistent improvement of related HRIS modules (e.g. payroll modules, consultant engagement workflows, other).
  • Liaise with external suppliers of staff benefits as required to resolve queries and engage with the Legal Unit for advisory support on consultancies and secondments.

Delivery:

  • Maintain reputation for quality and reliability through provision of services consistently and in keeping with policies and principles of the organization.
  • Review payroll allowances and claims monthly. Ensure submission of all required documents to supplement allowance requests, ensure accurate input of the claim amounts against the established limits, and application of relevant rules and procedures.
  • Prepare monthly payroll, inclusive of monthly allowance claims and other payroll provisions and deductions with the help of the ERP system.
  • Review and process individual consultancies, support operation focal points and managers.
  • Ensure compliance to engagement procedures and HR practices and improve existing frameworks and operational processes for consistency and relevance.
  • Process internship and secondee engagement and develop and implement programs for interns and secondees in coordination with related internal units and external institutions.
  • Review data in the systems on a regular basis, ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Analyze and provide HR reports as requested.
  • Be ready to provide guidance on HR policies and their practical application.
  • Contribute to the development of broader HR Policies if needed.
  • Support other HR initiatives and operations (e.g. in recruitment, performance management, L&D, other) as needed

Requirements :

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, finance, or other relevant fields. Master’s degree or a post-graduate qualification in a relevant field would be considered as advantage.

Experience:

  • Preference of 3-5 years of relevant experience in human resources (of which 1-2 years in management of payroll function) or related services.

Languages:

  • Full proficiency in written and spoken English and Korean is required.
