The Vice Presidency Unit (VPU) RM Coordinator will lead, develop, implement approaches, reports, processes, and tools to allow finance teams in both VPUs to maintain high level of service capability through coordination, integration with CBA strategies, and standardization. The VPU RM Coordinator role will cover different areas including, but not limited to, resource management, VPUs coverage, contributing to Corporate Initiatives on resource management and financial reporting, management reporting, analytics, knowledge management and capacity building, and process enhancements. The location of this position will be in IFC Cairo Office, Egypt. Some travel within the regions may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Resource Management:

  • Work closely with VPUs’ CAO, Regional Financial Controllers, and Operations Managers to understand VPU/Regional/Industry/Country strategies and implications for resource allocations.
  • Lead and coordinate the resource management activities for total resources to support VPUs activities according to the work program requirements.
  • Liaise on VPUs budget allocations with VPUs’ CAO, Regional Financial Controllers, and Operations Managers VPs, Directors, and advising on fungibility of various funding sources.
  • Lead VPUs quarterly forecast and annual budget preparation process through implementing enhanced budgeting and forecasting modules, communicate budgeting/forecasting principles, and consolidate departments’ outputs for management reporting.
  • Provide VPUs management with decision making analysis to enable them allocating resources to meet their work program and strategy.
  • Work closely with Facilities Management, VPUs’ Coordinators, RFCs, and regional departments’ budget officers to compile and consolidate regional capital budget requirements.
  • Liaise with VPUs Coordinators and (or) RFCs on SAP approval profiles for departmental cost centers to ensure consistency across the VPU.
  • Coordinate with departments’ budget officers and RFCs on staffing planning or staff movement process in IFC systems.
  • Liaise with HR,RFCs and Budget Officers positions management in the system and ensure addressing any variations versus the approved work force plans.
  • Review expenses periodically with CAO, RFCs and budget officers and determine non-eligible expenses across the VPUs for reposting to appropriate sources of funds. 

Financial Reports, Analytics and Business Intelligence:

  • Collaborate with CBA and VPUs finance teams to share corporate level best practices and guidelines in reporting analytics, forecasting and business intelligence.
  • Prepare monthly total resources and budget resources for both VPs and coordinate with VPs budget officers to streamline reporting to departments’ Directors on regular and ad-hoc basis.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with team leads and budget officers on Upstream reporting and monitoring, providing management with decision making tools on regular and ad-hoc basis.
  • Lead the implementation of management reporting packages in both VPUs through utilizing available tools and resources and customizing new reports for managements’ needs.

Knowledge Sharing and Process Improvements:

  • Lead the improvement of current reporting tools and processes in both VPUs through utilizing the available resources and tools in IFC such as corporate dashboards and Power BI.
  • Lead the building of analytical capabilities within the VPUs on resource management. 
  • Coach and mentor, the finance team on matters related to resource management and business intelligence and help build a VPU center of expertise for financial reporting and analytics in collaboration with other team leads and finance officers in the VPU.
  • Design internal training program focusing on regular interaction with VPU finance teams to ensure   departments on recent resource management developments, new tools implemented and key management messages.
  • Coach and mentor, the CME and CAT Finance teams on matters related to investment operations results measurement and help build a regional center of expertise for financial reporting and analyses so that budget officers can understand business better to become capable of supporting regional departments and industry RM function in addition to operations reporting for the departments they support. 

Corporate Initiatives:

  • Contribute and participate to various corporate initiatives aiming to improve new reporting and analytics tools to support streamlined management reporting across IFC.
  • Act as VPUs contact person and subject matter expert (SME) on these various projects such as: IFCTREX, IFC Dashboard, IFC Upstream reporting, etc.
  • Coordinate with VPUs finance teams and consolidate their feedback and inputs on these corporate projects and communicate these feedbacks to HQ project teams.
  • Propose and design solutions for processes improvements either for the VPU or overall IFC and present these solutions to CBA management for clearance. 
  • Actively interact with central budget unit, COOVP coordinators, and other HQ units aiming to provide management with solid decision-making tools on resource management.

Selection Criteria:

  • Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business or Economics and/or 8-12 years of relevant work experience. 
  • Recognized professional accreditation (CPA, CMA, CIMA, ACCA, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting theory, concepts, and principles, combined with proven practical skills in financial accounting reporting, business planning, profitability analysis, and financial management.
  • Possess strong Corporate-wide knowledge and understanding IFC culture is a plus.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of financial concepts involving profitability analysis, capital allocation, productivity, and fundamental financial/expense controls.
  • Ability to conduct independent research and analysis, identify issues, formulate options, draw conclusions, submit recommendations, and help influence Clients. Proven ability to conceptualize, design and implement major projects and produce major/complex reports and recommendation.
  • Strong knowledge of budget systems, IFC (investment) IT systems, data, IFC’s value chain, business processes, and operational procedures.
  • Experience in leading and building productive teams and working collaboratively across functions, departments, and stakeholders. Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, to convey complex financial and program issues concisely to Clients. Willingness to share knowledge with colleagues
  • Strong problem solving, conceptual, analytical and evaluation skills.
  • Diligence and attention to details.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP processes and transactions.
  • Planning and budgeting skills proved by experience: able to produce standard activity and unit-level reports and budgets using inputs from senior staff or operational management, and to provide basic analysis of budget information.
  • Advanced problem solving, analytical skills. 
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize financial and operational information, interpret data, retrieve information, and clearly and concisely communicate results. Good data mining skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Package. Advanced Excel, Power BI skills.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to prepare, present and discuss findings in written or oral form.
  • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent tasks with tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in the English language, Arabic language skills is preferred.
