The mission of the Corporate Information Technologies Department (CIT) is to use technology to enable IFC’s strategic priorities and to support business and operations. By acting as the technology partner and business enabler, the department provides state-of-art IT solutions to support IFC’s operations.

We are looking for a highly motivated and versatile IT professional (Business Solutions) to join the Reporting & Analytics team.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of highly skilled, diverse, and technical professionals and contribute to the IFC’s priorities. This position is based in Chennai, India.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Works alongside with the business stakeholder and development teams, providing delivery and technical expertise to develop end to end data and analytical solutions

  •  Experienced IT professional, with expertise in a variety of Reporting/Analytics/Data Virtualization tools (Power BI/Business Objects/Tableau/Tibco Composite/Dremio etc.), providing value to the business through effective process analysis, development, and documentation.
  •  Should be able to perform development and build prototypes leveraging the reporting and analytical tools like Power BI/Power Apps/other modern data technology stacks
  •  Develop, manage, and maintain processes, procedures, and documentation for Application Support activities. 
  •  Manage delivery teams and provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members in the areas of Reporting & Data analysis
  •  Lead the elicitation of technical requirements, perform gap analysis for data availability, define data consumption across business, analytics, and technical teams for both operational data needs as well as analytical or aggregated data warehouse needs
  •  Create or review data requirements documentation, data mappings and design documents to ensure the data needs are accurately represented 
  •  Develop and deliver compelling PoC’s and demos to achieve buy-in from relevant stakeholders and to communicate the same to implementation teams
  •  Ensures system and business requirements are met by monitoring business value achieved, escalates any variances that may impact ROI to the project team and ensures they are addressed
  •  Maintains a consistent view of enterprise data definitions and vocabularies to ensure consistency in process and quality
  •  Help Program Managers plan and schedule work program deliverables including resources and timeline using the appropriate SDLC methodologies including agile scrum.
  •  Manage daily technical challenges and communicates to management any risks or issues.
  •  Works closely with application development teams to ensure knowledge of data flows, impact of changes to application and ensures data accuracy
  •  Ability to work with teams across geographies and be flexible to support the critical application issues reported.

Selection Criteria

  •  Master's degree with 5 years relevant experience or bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience.
  •  Mandatory 4+ years of experience needed in Reporting & Analytics areas with exposure to data analysis and reports/analytical portal development
  •  Must be hands on with analyzing large volumes of data sets and capable of creating reports and dashboards on any two of the BI tools (like SAP-Business Objects/ Power BI /Tableau) is mandatory 
  • Should be experienced with at least one of the Data Virtualization technologies (Dremio/Tibco Data Virtualization or similar tools like Denodo) 
  •  Must be highly proficient in the use of SQL and be able to write complex queries
  •  Must have experience in financial domain and should experience managing teams with 5-15 members 
  •  Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  •  Solid understanding of and proven experience in using appropriate tools: Agile Project Management tools such as Jira/ Azure DevOps or equivalent.
  •  Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals.
  •  Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
  •  Experience in maintaining, developing, and overseeing the operations of large and complex corporate applications. Exposure to data warehouse technologies (data marts/data vault/ data lakes) or modern data applications is highly preferred.
  •  Should be strongly process oriented (understand problem, do analysis, interview stakeholders, write requirements, get sign off, hand off to dev, etc.)
  •  Self-starter with a track record in learning new technologies and effective collaborator across teams
  •  Should be able work with minimum supervision but know when to reach out for questions and collaboration. 
  •  Should be able to support multiple projects at a given time, depending on the size of the project
  •  Experience in Software methodologies like Agile, scrum methodologies.
