The International Water Management Institute (IWMI) is looking for highly motivated professionals to join its Head Quarters in Colombo Sri Lanka who will be responsible for the delivery of services offered via ICT managed business applications. At present this includes SAP HANA along with line of business applications a DataMart hosted on Azure. These applications are developed and maintained by external vendors and consultants.
Duties AND Responsibilities:
Ensure the smooth delivery of services provided by business support IT applications to the organization. This includes the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, supporting applications as well as reporting and data visualization systems.

Line of business web applications
IWMI outsources the development and operation of these services so you would
Manage and select local as well as foreign vendors and service partners
Ensure implementation occurs in a timely manner
Make sure that change management processes are in process and followed
Coordinate with the other parts of the ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) unit as well as other departments. The others ICT teams being
Research Data Management
Help with business continuity planning for processes supported by business applications.
Work with internal and external auditors to ensure that IWMI business applications are secure and fit for purpose.
Ensure the business applications and their underlying technologies and platforms are kept up to date with proactive upgrade planning.
Preparing budget plans for service delivery and project implementation.
Help develop training material for the users of the business support applications by working with HR and other departments as well as the external vendors and consultants.
Requirements
Minimum Educational Qualifications And Experience:
Essential:
University Degree in a related field or master's in business administration
2 to 3 years' experience in a similar role
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
Essential:
Good command of English (both written and spoken).
Experience with SAP HANA and Microsoft PowerBI will be highly beneficial.
A strong background in project management with a focus on system implementation and upgrade projects
Ability to bridge the gap between external consultants and internal stakeholders.
Teamwork and coordinating with other departments.
Ability to manage and prioritize a varied workload and meet deadlines
