Programme for Emerging Infection under Infectious Diseases Division is conducting a study on economic burden of Japanese Encephalitis (JE).
Brief Description of Position:
The Research Officer reporting to the Assistant Scientist will be mainly responsible to plan, organize, coordinate and implement data collection activities. S/he will be involved in -
literature review relevant to study objectives, analysis and report writing
Developing research tools, methodologies and compilation
Different health economics study design and analysis: cost of illness, cost effectiveness analysis, cost benefit, DALY/QALY etc.;
Analyzing data using STATA and data management software
Preparing work plan for research protocol implementation;
Data collection, analyzing data and sharing with team for consensus on research findings;
Ensure quality of data and inform supervisor about field activities in timely manner;
Manage data and train field staffs on data collection and management;
Monitoring progress of implementation team;
Assist supervisor to prepare scientific report and submit to research administration for clearance.
Required qualification and experience:
Masters degree in Health Economics;
03 years of experience in economic burden and evaluation studies
