The Population Science research group under the Health Systems and Population Studies Division at icddr,b is implementing a project to explore the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the mortality pattern in Bangladesh.
Position Description:
The Research Officer will report to the Scientist and will be responsible for planning, designing, data analysis, report writing, manuscript development, and implementation of research projects. S/he will be involved in–
Develop Research Proposal/Protocol;
Review literature;
Arrange stakeholder engagements;
Develop survey tool;
Perform overall Project Administration/Project Management activities including proper monitoring of implementation plan;
Review consumption of resources and utilization of manpower;
Analyze data and prepare primary reports;
Provide support in report writing, manuscript development and dissemination.
Required qualification and experience:
Master’s degree in Statistics / Public Health with good academic records;
3 years’ experience in relevant field. However, experience may be relaxed for the candidates who have experience in public health-related research.
Candidates having publications will get preference.
