Details:

The Charles University Faculty of Social Sciences, in collaboration with the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, is the sole provider and administrator of this scholarship. The award is intended for and open to students from developing nations and those through political and economic transformation.

Eligibility:

Applicants from developing nations must include a statement in their application stating that they require financial assistance.

Application and Selection Procedure:

All full and eligible scholarship applications received by the deadline will be evaluated by the Scholarship Review Board. The faculty dean will be advised to make the ultimate choice regarding the students chosen to receive scholarships.

  • Marksheets & Degrees (copy of a diploma and copy of 2nd diploma)
  • Letters of Recommendation
  • Proof of place of residence
  • Translated transcript of marks
  • Motivation Letter (no more than 1000 words)
  • Valid Passport
  • Updated Resume
  • A photograph
  • IELTS or TOEFL score

Date and Deadline:

For European Politics and Society courses: The admission window for the 2022-2024 study period is CLOSED.

The admission window for the 2023-2025 study period will be open on November 1, 2022. 

The application deadline for scholarship applicants will be on February 28, 2023. Please note that all applications received by February 28 were automatically classified as applications for scholarships. The deadline for the application of the self-funding applicants will be April 30, 2023.

For Development Scholarship: The application has been closed.

For European Politics and Society: the total amount allocated to the student is 26000 EUR. For development scholarship: lump-sum payment of CZK 75000 & no tuition fee waiver.
