The Fulbright scholarship is one of the most rewarding educational grants for international students it supports the exchange between the US and international countries. It covers almost all expenses.

Eligibility:

  • Nationality: Citizens of eligible countries.
  • Education: Must have completed an undergraduate degree.
  •  Academic achievements: The candidate’s academic/professional history should be outstanding
  •  Proficiency in the English language.

Application and Selection Procedure:

Applications can be submitted online at the scholarship portal, which is free. The selection committee will evaluate the application form of each applicant and the selections. Here are the steps:

 Applicants recommended by the experts will be required to appear for an interview with the USIEF National Selection Committee.

Selection panels will generally use the following criteria to evaluate applications:

  • Academic credentials and professional ability
  • Merit of the proposed Fulbright project

Decisions taken by the reviewers/committees in connection with the selection process will be final and requests for reconsideration will NOT be entertained.

USIEF offices organize Fulbright mentoring workshops for potential applicants. These workshops guide applicants on the elements of a strong application. Please contact the USIEF office in your region for information on the mentoring workshops.

  5. English Language Proficiency Score (TOEFL).

The requirements mentioned above do not include all the documents necessary for a complete Fulbright scholarship application. Requirements will vary depending on the applicant’s country of residence and the nature of the application
