Hubert Humphrey Fellowship Program develops leadership skills among global professionals who work together to tackle regional and worldwide issues and promote change for the benefit of all. This expanding global network exchanges best practices and develops expertise in fields of crucial importance to advance societal and institutional capacity, promote human rights and freedoms, ensure sustainable environments, and create thriving communities with counterparts in the United States through academic study and professional development.

Eligibility:

  • Must have a minimum of five years of full-time, professional experience
  • Education: Must have an undergraduate (first University) degree
  • Limited or no prior experience in United States
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities
  • Good command in English language

Application and Selection Procedure:

SELECTION PROCESS

  • Stage1: National Screening
  • Stage2: Screening by the Institute of International Education
  • Stage3: Candidate Review committees
  • Stage4: Approval by the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board
  • Stage5: Placement Of selected Humphrey Fellows

  • Application Form of Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship

Date and Deadline:

Application deadlines vary by country. The nominating U.S. Embassy or Binational Fulbright Commission will advise you of its internal deadline for receiving applications.

Embassies and Commissions must submit their nominations to the Institute of International Education office in Washington, DC by October 1.
